Très tendance au début des années 80, la peinture corporelle ou « body painting » a pris naissance dans le spectacle, théâtre, danse, et clip vidéo, avant d’animer les soirées « branchées de l’époque.
Véritable transformation du corps, tout était possible, du paysage au trompe l’œil, en passant par des créatures fantasques :
